It's been well over a week since I looked at the budget and we've been spending A LOT of money. This is true to pattern for me. I keep the budget really well for about a month, month and a half, but then I get busy and stop entering in my receipts and it all goes to hell in a hand basket. I think the word that best sums up this pattern is DENIAL.
BUT! I have had one hell of a week and we are expecting 20 people and dozen rugrats here tomorrow night. The time management gods have been against me! However, I promise to come back here as soon as all the craziness is behind us and update the budget. I will come clean with ALL the damage. My guess is that we've spent at least DOUBLE our Halloween budget. Gah!

Spending over your budget! What budget? Where? (Sounds like a normal person to me!)
Since you started the Naked Ledger again AND recommend Spend for iPhone/iTouch, I have been doing pretty well. Spend has helped me keep those budget numbers with me all the time. It's been fairly easy to keep my spending in check.
I curious to see your numbers this month . . .
